Yacht Fitting & Composites City & Guilds Level 3

This course is a mixture of theoretical and practical with key areas including: working safely in an engineering environment, complying with statutory regulations, following accident and emergency procedures, applying safe working practices and procedures, contributing to developing your own boatbuilding competence, using and communicating technical information, identifying and selecting boatbuilding activities, marking out for boatbuilding activities and using hand and basic machine skills.

Duration: 1 year. This course can be studied full-time or as block release from employment.

Entry requirements: 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including two from Maths, English and IT, or Marine Technology 2 or equivalent qualifications or experience.
