Marine Engineering & Design BTEC Award/Certificate/Diploma Level 3

This course is ideal for people wishing to establish themselves at technician level in the marine industry, or for those wishing to pursue a more analytical and design based career in marine engineering. You will study maths, applied science, materials and mechanical principles, all set within a marine context and the opportunity to use 2D and 3D computer aided design software. Other subjects studied may include fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanical principles and mechanical technology.

Duration: 1-2 years

Entry Requirements: 4 GCSEs at grades A* - C including Maths and English, a BTEC First Certificate or Diploma in a related subject or an intermediate GNVQ in a related subject or appropriate work experience.
