Head Housekeeper

Our Neilson hotels come in all shapes and sizes, offering a range of style & quality and it’s our special team of Housekeepers whose responsibility it is to clean, maintain and give the care that our properties deserve.

Reporting to the General Manager, as Head of Housekeeping you’ll be responsible for the overall housekeeping operation. You’ll lead a motivated team with responsibility for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the hotel rooms and all public areas in the hotel. You’ll ensure any maintenance issues are recorded inline with company procedures and will help create a welcoming and friendly environment within the hotel.

You’ll display leadership and motivational skills and will deliver ongoing training and development to other members of the housekeeping team.

To apply for this role you’ll have exceptionally high standards and ideally have worked in housekeeping supervisor or hospitality supervisor before. You’ll have proven experience in leading a team and be committed to giving an exceptional housekeeping service.  It’s a physically demanding job as you’re on the go every shift but working hours are flexible so you’ll also have plenty of beach/mountain time too! You must have an eye for detail and take pride in ensuring everything is spic and span. Customer service skills are essential too, as you’ll be in contact with our guests on a daily basis.
